Independence Blue Cross Gets Lincoln Financial Health Benefits Contract

Independence Blue Cross said Thursday it signed a health benefits contract with [CompanyWatch allows you to receive email alerts with stories related to your companies of interest. Lincoln Financial Group under which IBC will be the primary provider of health insurance for about 10,000 Lincoln Financial employees, retirees, and their dependents across the nation.

Lincoln Financial Group is the marketing name for Lincoln National Corp. and its affiliates.

Officials at Philadelphia-based IBC said the Lincoln Financial plan offerings will include the PPO option and comprehensive major medical plans.

Lincoln Financial of Radnor, Pa., has offices in Fort Wayne, Ind.; Hartford, Conn.; Omaha, Neb.; Greensboro, N.C.; and Concord, N.H.

The contract becomes effective Jan 1.
